You’ve found the Vegas Vikings! Our Sons of Norway lodge has been extolling Norwegian and Scandinavian culture throughout the Las Vegas Valley since May 1992 and have had a lot of fun doing it! We meet monthly and take part in a wide variety of special events featuring traditional and contemporary programs with a mostly Norwegian twist.
Musical performances, interesting speakers, information about genealogy lessons, Norwegian customs, history, the Vikings, and a whole lot more. We are probably best known for our popular lutefisk dinner held every last Saturday in January. We also host an attractive Scandinavian holiday bazaar.
Viking Ship
Our Viking ship is a popular feature at local parades and school functions, as are those among us who authentically role-play the Vikings. Thousands of locals and tourists also have seen our Viking ship and encampment every October at the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival.
Our group seeks to play a part in the betterment of Greater Las Vegas, too, by supporting other nonprofit causes, and we are proud to have provided more than $50,000 in scholarships to local Norwegian-Americans. If you are interested in learning more about our group, you are more than welcome to come to a meeting or one of our events! We are open to everyone, male or female of any age. You don’t even have to be Norwegian or Scandinavian. We hope to see you soon!
